Blackbird Ventures

WHO WE ARE

Blackbird was founded in 2012 on the belief that a wave of great technology companies would be born outside of Silicon Valley and that, in particular, there would be a wave of success stories that would emerge from Australia. That belief subsequently extended to include Aotearoa, New Zealand. Since inception, we have invested a total of AUD1.2bn into close to 100 companies. We invest in wild hearts with the wildest of ideas, right at the beginning. That involves backing teams from software to space, unified by the ambition to become truly generational.
